More about portraitsHow a commission works
- 1
Describe what you want
Send the size, colours and subject you have in mind, and for a portrait, the photo. A photo of the wall or your furniture helps too.
- 2
Price and timing
Biljana gets back to you with a price and a timeline. The price depends on size and complexity, and asking commits you to nothing.
- 3
Deposit
Once you agree, you pay a 50% deposit and the painting begins.
- 4
Painting
It usually takes 2–3 weeks, depending on the size. We keep you updated along the way.
- 5
Balance and delivery
You receive a photo of the finished painting, pay the balance and collect it or have it delivered.
Portrait from a photo
A hand-painted portrait of someone you love, or of your pet, painted from a photo you send. A lovely gift for a birthday, anniversary or wedding, and a keepsake of someone dear.
Biljana's portraits
A few portraits from Biljana's work, so you can see her style.
What makes a good photo
- Sharp, in daylight, without flash or harsh shadows.
- The face and eyes are clearly visible, and the head fills as much of the frame as possible.
- The highest resolution you have: send the original photo, not a screenshot.
- If you have several photos, send them all, as they help capture the character.
Pet portraits
Biljana also paints dogs, cats and other pets from your photo. A pet portrait is a special gift and a lovely keepsake of a family member.
For pets, the best photo is taken at their eye level while they sit or lie calmly.
