About the artist

Biljana Skrobonja is a painter from Belgrade, Serbia. She has painted since childhood, and for the last ten years she has been painting intensively. By profession she is a teacher of Spanish language and literature.

She studied painting for two years in Havana with the painter Heberto Escobedo, and then for four years, from 2015 to 2019, at the Šumatovačka painting school in Belgrade with professor Milan Tepavac.

She had a solo exhibition in 2018 and has shown her work in several group exhibitions at the Božidarac and Grad cultural centres in Belgrade.

She paints portraits, still lifes, figurative scenes, landscapes, religious subjects and abstracts, mostly in oil and acrylic on canvas and hardboard, and also works on paper in ink, pencil, charcoal, pastel and tempera.

Every painting is one of a kind: made by hand, signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Besides finished works, Biljana paints on commission, in the size and colours you choose, including portraits from photographs of your loved ones or your pets.
